Thank you for visiting the Society's web site.  We hope you find it interesting and useful.

Why not come along to one of our meetings?

*******

The Breadalbane Heritage Society is based in Aberfeldy in the heart of Perthshire. We meet six times during the winter, between September and March, and during the summer, we have outings to places of interest.

After several years in alternative accommodation, the Society now meets once more in the Aberfeldy Town Hall. Meetings are usually on the last Friday evening of the month (see the Programme page for details).

We have a variety of speakers and at the end of the evening there is always tea and coffee and time for an informal chat.

The Society was founded in 1962 and our aims are:

To promote interest in, research into, and study of archaeology, history, antiquities,
folklore, natural history especially of Breadalbane and the Upper Tay basin.

Our logo, left, was designed in 2006 by Malcolm Appleby, renowned silversmith and member of the Society.  It is his personal response to the cup marking of stones, reflecting the archaeological origins of the Society.

After a very successful 50th anniversary season,

we start our meetings again

in September 2013.

All are welcome

Details of all our meetings are on the Programme page.
